The aim of the THETA Company is to create a comprehensive service system for our customers, in scope of consultancy and technical and legal support while placing on the Polish market products, that may potentially present hazard for both, human health and natural environment.
The elementary safety condition in the chemicals and chemical products marketing is to ensure the complete and reliable knowledge, concerning potential hazards that may arise from their use. Hence, appeared the necessity of creating a uniform and precise classification of such products, regarding potential hazards that may appear in case of placing these articles on the market or in case of emergency situations, as well as to establish a uniform and clear system of labelling of finished products during both, transport and use.
THETA Technical Consulting operates on the Polish market since the year 2000. At the beginning, we provided the support for companies, that needed reliably and professionally translated Material Safety Data Sheets and technical information on their chemical products, for placing them on the market.
We have began our activity before the laws based on the European Union regulations and directives were introduced into Polish legal system. In those days, the national legislation in scope of placing dangerous materials on the market was in its infancy and was based on some archaic standards. But already then, we could observe a flow of goods growing year by year. These goods included raw materials and finished products – being potentially dangerous and requiring a reliable documentation describing the methods of handling, storing, first aid and suitable attestations and national certificates.
Since Poland has joined the European Union, products currently existing on the Polish market are subject to not only national regulations, that should be in conformity with guidelines of respective Community’s directives, but also to directly applied regulations of the Council. It causes a range of new problems, but also is a challenge for us.
Every day, we meet a lot of products, that are or may become hazardous for the user. Dangerous chemical substances, constituting a potential source of hazards, can be found almost everywhere. They are used not only in chemical industry in the broad sense, but also they are included in numerous chemical raw materials and every-day-use products manufactured in
One of the elementary documents required by the law, not only Polish but also the Community’s law, that accompanies each dangerous substance or preparation, is the Material Safety Data Sheet. The obligation of compilation of such Safety Data Sheets rests with the manufacturer of such product or the importer, if respective product is imported from abroad.
To meet these standards, we have created a team of professionals who are ready to face these challenges. Moreover, we co-operate with translators, lawyers specialising in the European law, numerous experts and we organise relevant trainings.
Within the space of last years, our offer has been expanded and completed. Currently it covers, among other things, comprehensive services and consultancy in scope of classification of chemical substances and preparations, compilation of Safety Data Sheets compliant with the Polish legal requirements and preparation of transport labels. Additionally, we ensure the support in scope of achieving relevant attestations and certificates for your products; certificates, opinions, registration, authorisation for placing products on the Polish market (utility articles, cleaning agents, biocidal products, submitting substances and preparation to the register - cosmetics and dangerous substances). A logical and very necessary supplement of the elementary offer – as we observe on the basis of the long-term cooperation with our customers - is the training covering issues related to the safety in everyday use, storing and recognising the dangerous chemical products, and protective actions against hazards.
